Property Manager

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to lead operations at our brand-new affordable housing community in Lincoln, Nebraska. This modern development features the latest in multi-family living, with on-site wellness amenities and underground parking.
We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional living experiences for our residents. The ideal candidate will bring proven skills in asset management, resident relations, financial reporting, and team leadership, along with a strong leasing/sales background and a welcoming, customer-focused approach.
The Property Manager will:
Oversee resident retention and leasing functions, including marketing, leasing activities, customer service strategies, workload prioritization, and property inspections.
Manage on-site assets by hiring, training, and directing personnel.
Foster strong communication and professional interaction with staff, residents, and prospective residents.
Demonstrate effective problem resolution and conflict management skills.
Monitor and direct the daily operations of the property.
Handle financial reporting responsibilities, including rent collection, deposit processing, record keeping, expense allocation, and budget adherence.
Ensure compliance with all affordable housing rules and regulations.
Lead the on-site team to achieve community and organizational goals.
Participate in company meetings and the annual manager conference as required.
Requirements:
Minimum five years of property management experience (required).
Prior supervisory/management experience (required).
At least two years of affordable housing experience (preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, corporate personnel, property owners, and residents.
Ability to work independently, follow directives, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in basic math, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Computer literacy, including use of property management software for financial and personnel management.
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, vendors, and the public.
Position Details
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (some evenings and weekends as needed)
Anticipated Start Date: October 1, 2025
Community Grand Opening: December 1, 2025
