Part-Time Maintenance Technician Wanted!

Burlington Capital Properties is currently accepting applications for a Part Time Maintenance Technician position at Cranes Meadow in Ranson, WV. Maintenance team members protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property. We are seeking a qualified individual who takes pride and ownership in the work they perform and can provide friendly, quality service that our residents deserve.

This part-time, 20-25 hour a week, position requires availability between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Essential job functions include:

• Perform maintenance and repair work as directed.
• Perform standard apartment maintenance which could include painting, cleaning carpets and appliance repair.
• Troubleshoot, perform and/or assist in maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, roofs, and carpentry.
• Assist in other duties as requested by management
• Maintenance team members are required to be “on call” every other week
• Control expenses to meet budgeted guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Participate in all resident promotions and/or functions as required by the property manager
• Follow all safety and liability guidelines as outlined

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must possess adequate working knowledge of a property’s significant maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc.
• HVAC certification preferred, but not required
• Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
