Maintenance Technician

Burlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications for a Maintenance Technician at our Cottages of Henderson Apartment Community located in Henderson, Kentucky. We are seeking a qualified individual who takes pride and ownership in the work they perform and can provide friendly, quality service that our residents deserve. This full-time position requires availability Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation on evenings and weekends (on-call schedule to be discussed during interviews).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds per established procedures
• Regularly communicate with supervisor as to status of service requests, make ready units, etc.
• Complete vacant units to make ready status per established procedures
• Inspect all work performed by outside contractors
• Inspect and/or perform grounds maintenance ensuring high level curb appeal
• Continually monitor budgeted maintenance expenses
• Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed
• Regularly inspect laundry facilities, common area rest rooms, playgrounds, etc. to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness
• Maintain maintenance shop in a neat and orderly manner at all times
• Participate in resident functions as requested by Management
• Maintenance team members may be required to be “on call”

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
• Trade school or associate's degree in related field a plus
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field required
• Prior apartment maintenance experience preferred
• HVAC certification preferred
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general building trades is required.

Must provide your own basic tools to perform apartment/building maintenance. Must be able bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds. Must have reliable transportation.
