MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

CRESCENT VILLAGE – CINCINNATI, OH

Are you looking for a stable work environment that will allow you to use your skills in the areas of maintenance and repairs?  Are you  motivated by a strong work ethic and being appreciated for your efforts?  This is the job for you!  Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Crescent Village apartment community, located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Maintenance team members protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property, and we value maintenance technicians who understand their individual and team impact on the overall success of the property and resident retention.  

The hours for this position are 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, with “on call” requirement for emergency maintenance on weekends/evenings.

Essential job functions include:

  • Perform standard apartment maintenance repair which could include painting and appliance repair.
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors who may perform work at the property.
  • Maintenance team members are required to be “on call.”
  • Control expenses to meet budgeted guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and vendors
  • Participate in all resident promotions and/or functions as required by the property manager
  • Follow all safety and liability guidelines as outlined
  • Communicate major repairs and/or damage to the management team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must possess adequate working knowledge of a property’s significant maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc.
  • HVAC Certification required
  • CPO certification a plus
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record required
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
  • Must provide your own basic tools to perform apartment/building maintenance
  • Must be able bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds
