Full-Time Leasing Consultant
Highpoint Apartments- Omaha, NE
Burlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications to be considered for a leasing consultant position at Highpoint Apartments in Omaha, Nebraska. We pride ourselves in the quality living experience we provide to our residents and therefore are considering individuals with demonstrated abilities in the areas of customer service and resident relations.
Qualified applicants must have previous customer service experience, and 2-5 years of residential leasing experience. We are looking for someone with the energy and enthusiasm to take our leasing to a new level!
Leasing Consultants earn leasing bonuses for each apartment leased, in addition to their hourly wage. This is a 'Lease Up' property where the earning potential is high.
The schedule for this position is four weekdays and every Saturday. The agent will be able to choose their own 4 weekdays to work each week with management. We also have a part-time position 3-4 days a week available. To include every other Saturday.
The successful leasing consultant will:
- Perform activities related to apartment rental to include providing apartment tours, qualifying prospective residents, preparing documentation and completing move-in procedures
- Maintain resident relations by providing excellent customer service and participating in resident promotions or functions as required by management
- Create new relationships with local businesses as part of our outreach marketing to include visiting them to deliver treat baskets and flyers.
- Represent the property community in a positive manner and to convey the benefits of the community to prospective residents
- Proactively participate in the team effort to accomplish desired results
- Participate in staff meetings as required
- Delivery of notices around the property as needed
- Help with fun resident events
- 'Sparkle' as needed vacant units and amenities, so the property looks pristine when you tour new prospects
- Always have a welcoming attitude and be the face of our community
- Create work orders for residents
- Assist with marketing efforts
- Do market research to gain information on how other apartment communities are leasing
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum of two years leasing experience preferred.
- Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
- Ability to use computer and basic office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Excellent customer service skills, to include follow-up, a must
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
- Ability to walk the property daily and take prospects on tours going up and down stairs daily
- You must have your own, reliable vehicle to perform outreach marketing within five miles of the property
- Bi-lingual is a PLUS (Spanish) but not required
