Maintenance Technician

Burlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician at Wells Manor Apartments in Wellston, Ohio.

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys providing exceptional service to residents. If you have experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade and enjoy solving maintenance challenges, we'd love to hear from you.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies is required.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform general apartment and building maintenance including painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and other maintenance tasks.
• Inspect maintenance issues, evaluate needed repairs, and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding major repairs or issues outside the scope of your expertise.
• Assist with apartment make-readies and help maintain the appearance and safety of the community.
• Participate in the company's preventative maintenance program.
• Attend staff meetings and required safety training.
• Follow all company safety policies and liability guidelines.
• Provide outstanding customer service while interacting with residents, vendors, and coworkers.
• Assist with additional maintenance projects as assigned.
• Participate in the emergency on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Trade school or an associate degree in a related field is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.
• Ability to work independently while following direction from management.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
