Burlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications for a part-time Activities Coordinator at Meadows at Salem Run Apartments in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The Meadows at Salem Run is a remarkable blend of style and value. Located just minutes away from the library, shopping at Spotsylvania Towne Centre, many healthcare centers, and Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, this senior community is a gem. We pride ourselves in the quality living experience we provide to our residents and are seeking candidates with demonstrated abilities in the areas of customer service, resident relations, and event planning.

 

This part-time position requires availability Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (schedule to be discussed during interviews).  Qualified applicants should have previous customer service experience, and prior event planning experience is preferred.  If you have a natural tendency toward helping others with a flair for fun, we want to hear from you today!

 

The successful Activities Coordinator will:

  • Maintain resident relations by updating bulletin boards, creating and distributing flyers and other communications to residents
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the community in a positive manner
  • Coordinate and organize community events and programs by scheduling the calendar of events for the year, including games, holiday parties, potlucks, etc.
  • Follow budget guidelines while purchasing supplies for community events
  • Assist with administrative duties and other duties as assigned by management
  • Participate in staff meetings

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum two years of customer service experience required
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
  • Possess excellent prioritizing and organizational skills
  • Ability to use computer and basic office equipment required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • A valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record may be required

 

This position is not benefits-eligible. Compensation will be discussed during interviews. Post offer drug testing, civil, criminal and motor vehicle background screening required.  Equal Opportunity Employer
